“The word "charity" entered the English language through the French word "charité" which was derived from the Latin "caritas". Originally in Latin it meant preciousness, dearness, high price. From this “caritas” became the standard Latin translation meaning an unlimited loving-kindness to all others. In modern usage, the practice of charity means the giving of help to those in need.”

A growing commitment to principles of social responsibility has become the hallmark of advanced business in the world, and over the last few years in Russia. The history of Russian entrepreneurship abounds with charitable traditions.

Jones Lang LaSalle as a market leader places an equal priority on its corporate business activities and on its public and social impact.

We believe that the company’s social policy in Russia should include projects such as youth career opportunity support, charitable programs for disabled and needy children and assistance to the elderly.

Being socially aware and active the staff at Jones Lang LaSalle has launched a charity initiative dedicated to fundraising efforts and distribution of donations in support of a number of chosen organisations.

The Charity is chaired by an independent Committee that has been providing  assistance that is of great importance not only to the supported charities, but to the entire Jones Lang LaSalle team. The acceptance and promotion of humanitarian values is an important integrated part of the company’s corporate culture.

The Committee concentrates not only on relief and supporting results, but also on inspiring a sharing human nature. Charitable work enables Jones Lang LaSalle staff members to fulfill social involvement needs outside everyday job practices and feel part of a conscientiously active and civilized society.

Helping those in need includes long-term aid, immediate aid and visits to specialized facility homes.

Today special emphasis is placed on providing social and economic support to the following organizations:
